Palazzo Como

Situated on a sunny promontory next to the village of Torno and surrounded by peaceful views of Lake Como’s natural beauty, lush gardens and idyllic small towns, the Palazzo stretches approximately 750 feet along the lake’s eastern shore.

The loggia separates the main floor into two separate parts hosting two large halls, the reception, the billiard room, the dining room and the kitchen. In the centre of the courtyard stands a statue representing Neptune holding a trident. In front of the loggia, beyond the court, appears the rock face that outlets the intermittent spring whose water flows through the villa and then open out into the lake through the arcade placed on the facade of the villa. A spiral wooden staircase, completely carved leads from the main floor to the upper floor suites. A comfortable elevator connects all levels to the parking lot. The Palazzo recently underwent a full restoration and has been updated to the highest contemporary standards while maintaining the charm and historical details of the original design.

The restoration of the existing buildings now provides four large suites with eighteen bedrooms and three independent houses. The four suites are located in the main building while the independent villas are spread in the eighteen acres of the park surrounding the villa. All apartments have a view on the lake and have been designed to give the highest standards of comfort. They are provided with satellite TV, internet connection, air conditioning and safe;all of them are also equipped with private kitchen and laundry. Some of the outbuildings have separate entrance, useful for the access of the domestic personnel

Located on a terrace above the main gardens, the spa entirely occupies a dedicated building and features an infinity pool, one that gives the beautiful illusion of swimming in the middle of the lake. Its water is supplied and filtered from the lake: the wellness centre also offers a sauna and steam bath.

Clients can arrive in style: Private entrances to the Palazzo through its helicopter landing pad, boat dock or by limousine. Venture out and enjoy the picturesque villages and sites of the Lake on our own Vaporina Boat.

“This lake exceeds anything I ever beheld in beauty … But the finest scenery is that of the Palazzo Como… The scene from the colonnade is the most extraordinary, at once and the most lovely that eye ever beheld. Above you from among the clouds, as it were descends a waterfall of immense size, broken by the woody rocks into a thousand channels to the lake. On the other side is seen the blue extent of the lake and the mountains speckled with sails and spires”

          Poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. 1818
