Scavenger Hunt in St. Mark’s square

Experiences

This tour is designed especially for children to engage with the history and art of Venice. Ideal for children aged between 5-12 years. After skipping the queques the tour guide will lead your family through the Basilica and Doge’s Palace! Explore the Doge’s Palace, the true heart of Venetian political power where the Doge and his council took the decisions for the Venetian Republic. I will start with an overview of the courtyard, and carry on through the Loggia’s floor. On the upper floors, you will be impressed by the Institutional Chambers: the most magnificent is the Chamber of the Great Council. I will lead you over the Bridge of Sighs, to the Prisons.

After that we will discover one of the world’s most majestic cathedrals, a true masterpiece of Byzantine art! From the ground floor you can admire the beautiful golden mosaics and marble inlay flooring. A wonderful way for children to enjoy Venice! They will come away having had fun, having learnt about art, religion and history but also they will go back home with…the Venetian Treasure!
